AVG, IE7...   A couple of tips: AVG Free version can easily and successfully be replaced by AVIRA, quite helpful and sensitive and not annoying at all antivirus! That's not the case with me either! I now guess I could also have solved it by adding the path specified to the list of Trusted Sites within IE, but I am glad that this has worked out. If you haven't installed this, I think it's referred to as Resultant set of policies. I've verified the share and the security rights both.
