It had a message to restore so I did that but keeps going back to the same ole message about the corrupt files.
As for the one you posted yer its a good HDD buit I think you`ll only be left with around 260gb once formatted, if thats enough for you go for it It's just an option that i thought..if the HDD is really damaged you can recover or *try* to recover certain sectors connecting the HDD to PC. I'll try this one.

Here is a snippet of my internal ps3 settings As you can see the ps3 has my hdd serial stored. Ps3 Hard Drive I have the CECH-L01 80g PS3; I took out the hard drive (don't ask me why), and formatted it to FAT32 with the PC; I replaced it in the PS3, and Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files. Today, 07:32 AM Just install rebug, best CFW I've used.
I'm starting to think that maybe I fried my PS3 with static electricity...

Put the PS3UPDAT.PUP file on a USB drive in the file structure PS3\UPDATE\(file goes in this folder)] 5.Follow the steps and PS3 will ask you to format your hard drive.After formatting I often use in the worst case scenario : VirtualLab Data Recovery. I reformatted, even changed the hard drive and replaced it with another one. have a peek at these guys You could only transfer that to the "Playstation Plus Folder" or online Cloud drive (Whichever one you want to call it) if you are a Playstation Plus member.
