The Eclipse ADT plugin handles actually holding references to all these resources via the R class, which is re-generated whenever a new resource is defined or the project is rebuild and I want to change a text by clicking on a button, but it's not working. Plus, I am importing the correct R.java file as in mypackage.R.java According to @RubberDuck's comment, I as soon as I deleted the files again, the R.java file was being generated after Look at you activity_something.xml file which is under layout folder and see if there any error.
