leads me to think either we never really had a fully functional dns or win2003 has features that disturb the operations, but then the same happened when we tried to run with static IP address. IE authenticates and then should route you to the correct page depending on who you are. Make sure IIS is running Make sure (if it is a small network) that the IP ranges are the same and the subnet masks match.
