You need to go into the Bios Setup and make the CD drive the first boot device then put the XP CD in the drive and re-boot the computer. You could try exchanging the power supply unit and the mobo with the other "working" computer one at a time to see if you can "shift" the problem. Put the Windows CD in and boot. But before you start you need to check the HDD with the Drive Makers Testing Utility.

Exactly. Get More Info As a note aside, the fact that the "good" drive you installed did not boot, may not be evidence of anything wrong with your system. But you do have a time limit (meaning very little time and it will be just one shot). If you are not successful after several tries,quit Setup.
