Put the HDD from the Other machine (Which I know works) into my machine and tried installing. It's strange that it only occurs with XP and with more than 1 version of it.I have tried using KillDisk to wipe the drive and when I load it with CD Alberto. I have also had to slip a different XP disk that the system could read the necessary file(s) from into the CDROM and continue loading!. Now waiting for formatting to finish to see how far I can get. The disc is really clean with no signs of damage or scratches. They are not consistant at all. My first tentative to reinstall windows worked, then I tried to run a virus test (with eset online). Well, 2 questions.
